Financial Assistance

Heartland CAMP Scholars receive a first-year scholarship and laptop. Scholars also receive assistance applying for the FAFSA, creating a personal budget, and navigating financial aid and the costs of college.

Academic Support

Heartland CAMP helps First-Year Scholars start strong in college by providing intensive mentoring, free tutoring, a first-year college success course, and connections to other supportive programs and opportunities on campus.

A Welcoming Community

First-Year Scholars have a home-away-from-home in Heartland CAMP In addition to one-on-one mentoring, Scholars participate in workshops, mixers, cultural trips and events, and community service opportunities. After completing the First-Year Scholars Program, participants stay connected as peer mentors and tutors.
